CREATIVE WAYS TO USE YOUR WEDDING VOWS

Writing your own wedding vows can be a beautiful way of making your wedding your own. Writing promises, celebrating being a partnership, and sharing your love with your very best people. It’s the heart of what weddings are. Your vows to each other.

So let’s make them look as beautiful as possible too! Here are a few ideas on how you can show off your wedding vows, both on your wedding day, as a keepsake, or a wedding / anniversary gift.

1. WEARING YOUR HEART ON YOUR SLEEVE (OR BOUQUET)

Make your wedding bouquet truly yours by adding handwritten calligraphy on soft, frayed cotton ribbons. They can be tied around your bouquet or trail them like a banner of love anywhere and everywhere!

2. HANDWRITTEN ON TO COTTON FABRIC

Something you’ll be able to keep forever, handwritten calligraphy vows on soft, cotton cloth. Either keep in a frame or if you’re feeling crafty, sew onto another item.

3. HANDMADE VOW BOOKS

I love sewing books together (you can read a little about how they’re made here). Vow books are a gorgeous and sentimental way to keep your marriage vows forever, and have the added bonus of looking beautiful in photos too!

Celebrate your vows as much as you can! I love going back and reading ours (in, of course, two small handbound books that sit nestled in our bookcase), when I’ve had a horrible day, or it’s our anniversary. They are still powerful words that make me feel so incredibly loved.
