BOHEMIAN, ECO WEDDING IN A GLASSHOUSE

A styled shoot for Workshops by Lark at Chaleshurst Glasshouse

CONCEPT:

Modern, earthy, and bohemian, with a nostalgic, French countryside feel.

THE STATIONERY

I wanted the stationery to feel modern, experimental, and organic. Playing with the light and shadow of the Glasshouse, using torn paper, textures, and paint. Contrasts of modern typography and pointed pen calligraphy.

INVITATIONS

Taking inspiration from the glasshouse – the structural shape and the idea of looking through glass, entering into the space. The collection included layers of different textured torn paper, overlapping each other to create intrigue. I used bold strokes of thick paint to create the impression of shadows across the paper. To layer over the invitation, I hand-painted ferns on very fine paper, playing with light, shadow, and plants found in the Glasshouse. I kept the colour palette very light, subtle shades of white and neutral.

MENUS

Experimenting with painterly textures, modern type, and pointed pen calligraphy. To layer beautifully against the natural ruffle of the fabric and elegant, handmade plates.
